Pia Schiavo-Campo is a Transformational Coach & Facilitator, Improviser, Writer, and Public Speaker. She has spent the last eight years working in social justice non-profits at both the direct service level and policy level. Most recently she served as the Digital Communications Associate for Advancement Project California. As a consultant for the Zimmer Children's Museum's youTHink program, she uses the power of art to empower youth in grades 5-12 to sharpen their critical thinking and civic engagement skills. Pia also uses improv to help adults, children and organizations to develop better communication skills and increase their self-awareness, confidence and creative-thinking abilities.
Pia is has a certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Center for Nonprofit Management (Southern California). She is a Certified Professional Coach through Leadership That Works. Since 2003 she has been studying and performing improvisation and acting at the Studio Theater in Washington D.C., and at Bang Comedy Theater, and Improv Olympics West in Los Angeles. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
When she's not writing her blog or shopping for funky jewelry, Pia enjoys cooking for friends and family, eating chunky monkey ice cream and quality time with her husband, Will and son Paolo.
